Because Alpbach is so beautiful and idyllic, we offer our guests guided snowshoe hikes three times a week. Enjoy the impressive scenery without having to worry about where you are going, local mountain professionals are there to guide you.

A magical torchlit walk through Alpbach is offered every Monday by the hotel (free of charge) or every Tuesday by the tourist office. Participation is free with the Alpbachtal Card, which you receive on arrival at the Hotel Alphof.

In the Alpbach Valley we try to make the most impressive walking tracks accessible in winter too. So guests can explore the magnificent landscape on foot and enjoy the panoramic Alpine views.

Romantics shouldn't miss the opportunity to ride on a horse-drawn sleigh through the glittering winter landscape! Wrapped in a warm blanket, Tyrol's powerful Haflinger horses lead you past traditional farms; listening to the sleigh driver's exciting stories, the "Alpbach fairytale" becomes reality!

When the winter night is bathed in moon shine, tobogganing to the Bischoferalm in Alpbach is a special experience. The scenic walk at the summit leads to regional delicacies, punch and Glühwein! Once warmed up, refreshed and entertained, the adventure really begins as you whizz down the 4 km long illuminated run. The adrenalin will be pumping... what a winter treat!

Those who are still a child at heart, who like pirouetting, figures of eight and braking with a spray of ice, would love the ice rink down at the sports field. After the exhilaration we'll treat you to culinary delights and fine wines back at Hotel Alphof.

Christmas market lovers should definitely not miss the Rattenberger Advent (a 10 minute drive from Alphof)! Let yourself be swept away by the historical atmosphere of Rattenberg, away from the pre-Christmas hustle and bustle, at one of Tyrol's most traditional Christmas markets. An incomparable Advent experience, completely in the spirit of authenticity, peace and reflection! The Rattenberger Advent is one of the top 10 in Tyrol: on Advent Saturdays, "fire is at play" – the entire town flickers in candlelight. The warm glowing backdrop is a popular destination for locals and tourists alike.
